| This is a portable chest x-ray of a 65 year old woman with an ejection fraction of 30%, and recurrent ventricular tachycardia. She was implanted 2 weeks after a coronary bypass operation. She has a single pass ventricular lead with distal sense/pacing electrodes and two coils one in the right ventricle and one in the superior vena-cava. She also has a bipolar atrial active fixation lead that is in the lower lateral part of the right atrium. The atrial lead was place in this position as it was not possible to obtain a good signal and pacing threshold in the upper medial part of the atrium. In this position the P wave amplitude was 3mv. and the threshold 1.7 volts at 0.5 ms. |
