Nuclear Image

Right Ventricular Dsyplasia

Dr. Jean François Leclercq, Paris France

 ENGLISH
This is a series of images from a young patient that was resuscitated from a near sudden death experience. The patient had two family members that had previously died suddenly, and in whom right ventricular dysplasia was found at autopsy. The only abnormal objective tests where a nuclear cardiac scan and a T wave change in the anterior EKG chest leads. Other wise the EKG of this patient was normal as was his surface averaged EKG.

A nuclear depolarization image taken in the left anterior oblique position. Notice the red or latest activation is seen in the region of the right ventricle.

These are two electrocardiograms from the patient that are normal but with a T wave in V1 that is at time inverted.

This is a surface averaged EKG from the patient. Note that the QRS duration of 110ms, the LAS of 32ms and the RMS40 of 24 uv.
